AI, processes, and data for renewable energy

We connect documents, decisions, and data across project development, asset operations, purchasing, finance, and maintenance. We start where a lack of current status or data stops the team's work.

Where project development or operations lose continuity

A project development specialist checks a plot, grid connection conditions, a lease agreement, and approvals across several folders and spreadsheets. When a deadline or document version changes, the team manually determines the current status. After implementation, every site has an owner, status, complete document set, deadlines, and decision history.

An operations manager sees a drop in energy production in a report, but the inspection schedule, service ticket, and equipment documentation are stored in other systems. After the data is connected, the variance leads to the correct installation, equipment, and task. The team sees the person responsible, the deadline, and the history of completed work.

Accounting receives an invoice for maintenance, parts, energy, a lease, or contractor work. The purchase order, acceptance protocol, and assignment to a farm or project are stored separately. After the change, the document enters the correct workflow, discrepancies are visible during review, and approved data returns to the financial system.

The person responsible for compliance tracks deadlines for decisions, permits, insurance policies, authorizations, and contractual obligations in multiple registers. A controlled process issues reminders about required action, routes the document to the correct role, and preserves the approval trail.

From an installation event to a decision, without replacing systems

We first map the path from an event to a decision: a new site, grid connection document, contract change, invoice, production variance, inspection, or failure. We determine where data originates, who checks it, which documents are required, and which system should receive the result.

We then connect AI, AMODIT, the data and BI layer, custom applications, cloud services, and the financial systems, ERP, operations tools, and metering data sources already used by the company. Integrations transfer documents, identifiers, readings, and statuses through available APIs, files, queues, or database-to-database exchange according to agreed rules. Each system retains its role, while the process also covers the steps between applications: approval, exception handling, reminders, reporting, and accountability.

AI reads invoices and attachments, organizes information from documents, and flags cases that require attention. In a contract process, it prepares an assessment and proposes revisions. In data analysis, it helps explain a change in a metric and prepares a recommendation for the next action. An authorized employee reviews the result and approves the next step. We configure existing models for the organization’s process, documents, and dictionaries; we do not train our own LLM or OCR models.

Why AMODIT is a strong choice for the renewable energy industry

AMODIT routes a case through companies, projects, sites, roles, and stages. It connects a document with data from the ERP, financial system, metering source, or operations application. The process preserves deadlines, substitutes, permissions, versions, and change history. When project development, formal requirements, or maintenance organization changes the workflow, we add a new path, role, document, rule, or integration.

In renewable energy, the platform connects lease agreements, grid connection and compliance documents, requisitions and orders, invoices, correspondence, protocols, schedules, and service tickets, among other processes. Astrafox is AMODIT’s developer and implementation team, so one company is responsible for the product, configuration, integrations, and continued development. The AMODIT page describes the platform’s detailed capabilities, while Astrafox designs the complete workflow in the client’s environment.

Documents and decisions connected to operations

This page presents a cross-functional view of the industry. Detailed situations, workflows, and the scope of integrations are covered on the eight solution pages:

Site development on a map and in a process

Assessing a new site combines spatial data with documents and decisions. On a map, we bring together plots, wind or solar conditions, protected areas, existing infrastructure, and connection points, among other data. We update data layers automatically and connect the analysis with the project record, contract, deadline, and person responsible.

The map is no longer a separate image prepared for a meeting. A user can move from an area to the source data and documents, while a change in a site’s status starts the correct process stage. The solution supports both preliminary site selection and subsequent project coordination.

Purchasing, invoices, and contracts without manual reconciliation

The purchasing process connects a requisition, supplier offer, budget, order, completed service or delivery, and invoice. Rules route the case by company, project, site, cost type, and value. A protocol or proof of completion remains attached to the order, so finance does not have to reconstruct the context from messages and attachments.

KSeF Connector retrieves invoices from KSeF and transfers them to any ERP or financial system. AMODIT manages description, invoice coding, approval, and exception handling, while AI prepares document data for review. Lease, grid connection, construction, and maintenance agreements share one register of obligations, deadlines, versions, and accountability. Explore KSeF Connector → and AI solutions for business →.

Analytics and reporting

Renewable energy analytics covers the entire data path: acquisition, quality control, integration, storage, and visualization. We combine data on energy production, asset availability, equipment errors, downtime, weather, plans, costs, maintenance work, and fulfillment of obligations. A shared model of concepts reduces situations where engineering, finance, and management use different definitions of the same metric.

The report shows production and operations by installation, period, equipment, or event type. An alert identifies a variance and routes it to a process: it creates a task, assigns an owner, and preserves the response history. We combine inspection and maintenance schedules with failures, downtime, and production data so that actions can be planned using one view of the situation.

We also retain the existing analytics use cases from this page: reporting on field teams and service technicians, monitoring errors and downtime, dashboards based on sensor data, and spatial analyses that support site development. We use Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or another tool already in use as the presentation layer, while DataFlow automates data preparation, testing, and pipeline monitoring.

Example of a comprehensive energy-sector solution

For a large energy group, we developed a set of connected solutions covering a custom operational platform, electronic employee documentation integrated with HR systems, SSO login, service monitoring in BI, complaint handling, and lease agreement workflows. We also provided maintenance and warranty services for the systems under development.

This example illustrates Astrafox’s delivery model in the energy sector: one process often requires document automation, a custom application, integrations, data, and maintenance. We design the scope around the client’s environment instead of creating a separate solution for each layer.

Why Astrafox provides comprehensive solutions for renewable energy

Since 1999, we have combined AI, process automation, data and BI, software, integrations, ERP, and cloud services. We have completed 1,100+ implementations. One team is responsible for the flow between documents, applications, data, and reports, and every project has named account, project, and deputy managers.

We develop AMODIT, DataFlow, KSeF Connector, and AI agents, while also building integrations and applications tailored to the organization’s environment. We provide SLA-based maintenance and support for the solution, its connections, and infrastructure. The client has one agreement and one point of accountability even when the process spans several technologies and companies.

Frequently asked questions

Which process should a renewable energy company start with?

We start with one workflow: a site, contract, purchase, invoice, maintenance activity, or production variance. We identify the documents, data, roles, and exceptions, and then connect AMODIT and the appropriate Astrafox solutions with the ERP, financial systems, metering sources, and operations tools already in use. Each system retains its role, while statuses move between them without manual retyping.

How does AMODIT support renewable energy companies?

AMODIT routes documents and cases through the correct companies, projects, sites, roles, and stages. It connects contracts, grid connection documents, purchases, invoices, protocols, and tickets with data from other systems. Deadlines, substitutes, permissions, and decision history remain visible in one process.

Do you integrate the solution with any ERP and operations systems?

Yes. We select the connection method based on the available interfaces and data. We integrate through APIs, files, queues, web services, or database-to-database exchange according to agreed rules. ERP is one part of the environment; the process also covers documents, approvals, operational data, reporting, and exception handling.

How do you report energy production, downtime, and maintenance work?

We build a shared data model for production, asset availability, events, weather, schedules, and costs. The report shows the result and the data needed to understand its causes. An alert creates a maintenance task, identifies the person responsible, and records actions until the ticket is closed.

Does AI automatically approve invoices and contracts?

No. AI reads the document, organizes data, flags exceptions, or prepares an assessment and proposed revisions. An authorized employee reviews the result and approves the next step. Roles, change history, and data sources remain part of the process.

Do we need to rebuild the entire IT environment immediately?

No. The first stage is one document workflow, contract register, production report, or connection between two systems. We design it so that additional companies, installations, documents, and data sources can be connected without rebuilding the solution from scratch.
