Challenge: multiple bonus models and confidential decisions
A bonus process differs by employee group, settlement frequency, and place in the organizational structure. In this solution, several affiliated companies used four models: annual, quarterly and annual, quarterly, and one for key executives. Managers, assessors, HR, and approvers take part. Without a shared system, it is difficult to maintain a consistent process and appropriate access to confidential information.
The organization also needed a history of assessments, justifications, and decisions made at successive stages.
Solution: a process tailored to bonus rules
Astrafox built a custom application for planning, managing, and assessing bonus processes.
The system provides:
- processes for different employee groups,
- configuration of bonus frequency and criteria,
- registration of bonus justifications,
- assessment of goal and criterion achievement,
- collection of feedback from process participants,
- multi-stage approval,
- access to decision history and the assessment path,
- differentiated visibility by company, unit, department, or employee,
- configuration of field visibility and editability for a specific stage and role,
- settings effective from a given date and for a selected branch of the organizational structure,
- a set of ready-made reports and a dynamic report for custom analyses.
Outcome: decisions based on recorded criteria
Information about goals, assessments, and justifications is available in one place. Every participant sees the scope needed to complete their task. The process history supports decision analysis, while configuration allows the solution to develop as bonus rules change.
Technical details
The custom web application has a configurable process and permission model. Visibility of a process and its individual fields depends on the company, organizational unit, stage, role, and person viewing it.
