System integration is the design and implementation of data or event exchange between applications. It connects ERP, CRM, workflow, KSeF (Poland’s National e-Invoicing System), banking, a data warehouse, a customer portal, and AI solutions. The project begins by defining the process and the owner of each item of information: which system creates the data, which one changes it, and where it is sent. The interface, frequency, mapping, security, and exception handling are then selected. A sound integration displays status, records errors, supports retries, and does not create invisible dependencies without an owner. Its quality is also measured by how it is maintained after launch.
