Microservices are an architectural approach in which a system consists of smaller services responsible for selected business or technical functions. The services can be developed and deployed independently and communicate through APIs, messages, or events. This division is useful for large, evolving solutions, but it increases the requirements for monitoring, security, versioning, testing, and handling failures in parts of the system. Microservices are not automatically better than a single application. The choice should be based on scale, team responsibility boundaries, the pace of change, and integration needs, not simply on the technology’s popularity. See how we build software.
