Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)

Definition

IaaS, or Infrastructure as a Service, is a cloud model in which a provider supplies infrastructure resources: computing power, storage, networking, and security components. The customer or its partner remains responsible for operating systems, server configuration, applications, data, updates, and monitoring under the applicable shared responsibility model. IaaS enables organizations to build environments without purchasing their own hardware and to adjust resources as needs change, but it requires management of access, costs, backups, and recovery. Astrafox works with cloud infrastructure in Azure, Google Cloud, and AWS. Explore Astrafox cloud services.
