Human in the loop is a process design approach in which a person participates at a key point in the operation of an AI system. The person reviews input data, evaluates a recommendation, corrects generated material, or approves a decision before the next action is taken. The control point must match the process risk: a document summary requires different verification than a decision affecting a customer, employee, or financial commitment. Effective oversight requires showing the user the context and basis of the recommendation, not merely an approval button. Astrafox follows the principle that AI recommends and a person approves.
