Definition
A landing zone is a foundational cloud environment prepared before applications and data are deployed. It defines the structure of accounts or subscriptions, roles and permissions, networks, security rules, event logging, budgets, and resource-creation policies. As a result, each subsequent team follows common rules instead of designing these elements from scratch. A landing zone is not one ready-made configuration for every company. It must reflect the organization’s structure, access requirements, regulations, and maintenance model. It should also have an owner, documentation, and a change process because the foundation develops together with the cloud environment. Explore Astrafox cloud services.
