The AI Act is Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 of the European Parliament and of the Council on artificial intelligence. It introduces a risk-based approach and different obligations for entities involved in developing, providing, and using AI systems. The applicable requirements depend on the solution’s intended purpose, the organization’s role, and how AI is used. A project must therefore describe the use case, data sources, model provider, human oversight, transparency, and documentation rather than focusing only on the name of the technology. Legal assessment rests with the appropriate functions within the organization. Read about security and regulatory compliance.
